LMES installed 8800m of collector circuit from each of the 18 turbines to the newly constructed
substation in the South
East of Ireland. The collector circuit comprise of 4700m of 33 kV cable and 3300m of 20 kV cable. This was carried
out in parallel with the installation of 22500m of 38 kV cable for the grid route connection.
All works were finished on time without faults to the client’s requirements.
LMES carried out 1800m of 110 kV high voltage cable pulling in Dublin city as part of major data centre grid connection.
Works were carried out in line with ESB Networks and Eirgrid Specifications within a tight deadline of 1 week.
Night-time cable pulling operations were employed to meet this deadline due to works being undertaken on a busy main
city centre spin road.
All cable was installed in time without any defects.
LMES were contracted to install 50000m of 33 kV MV Cable, 30000m of 32 kV MV Cable and 20000m of Fibre Optic Cable
for a Solar cluster based in Belfast. This works was one of the first of its kind and size of that time in 2015.
This marked the first ever cable install for LMES on a solar farm.
The installation works were carried out under
different conditions due to normal cable pulling operations as tight working area between solar cluster resulted in the
on time without issue.
