LMES offers a wide range of services which have been utilised in major telecommunication and power projects throughout Ireland and the UK for contractors and industrial clients.
The scope of work and equipment covers all types of cable installations from blown fibre projects to HV electric cable installations. We have an excellent reputation within the industry for our modern and well-maintained equipment, our high standard of workmanship and our completion of works on time, safely and professionally.
Cable Pulling And Installation
- Cable - 10 kV to 33 kV
- Cable - 110 kV to 220 kV

All cable pulling is carried out in line with Eirgird and ESB Networks specifications. Full data capture of pulling force, speed and distance of each pull is recorded and provided.
Duct Testing & Proving
LMES have the capability to Test existing or newly installed ducting by mandrel, brush and sponge proving and cleaning to EirGrid and ESB Networks specifications. Data recorded during this process is Pulling force, speed and distance for quality records.
Winch Calibration
All winch and drum carrier plant used are owned by LMES and calibrated yearly. Calibration certs are issued before each job is started to ensure accuracy of installation to approved pulling tensions.
Winch Hire
LMES also hires out their plant to other experienced cable pulling contractors with an operator if required.
Plant
To ensure our works are carried out efficiently and on time, we are committed to owning &
operating the most up to date equipment available, all of which is carefully maintained, inspected
and calibrated at regular intervals to comply with current legislation.
Our equipment includes winches ranging from 0.5T to 10T with full Data recording capabilities, a
selection of cable trailers that can cater for a variety of drums, teleporter, and a wide range of cable
installation accessories.
